SOURCE
bp Sphere workshop validation framework
Scope: Controller-grade validation of journal recommendations
POLICY
Deterministic calculations, explainability required, no unsupported recommendations
EVIDENCE
Historical entries + policy references + budget sources + approvals + contracts
RECORDS
10 validation levels · 15 workshop scenarios
ACTION
Run replay | Open Journal Gate | Review Decision Audit View
Provenance: workshop validation framework, not a live control attestation. Scenarios are intentionally labeled as workshop scenarios until backed by live journal, policy, approval, and replay records.
Every recommendation shown in bp Sphere must:
✓ Be explainable
✓ Be traceable
✓ Be replayable
✓ Be overrideable
✓ Be auditable
✓ Be source-backed
✓ Fail safely when evidence is insufficient

Validation Levels

Level 1 - Field Accuracy
Suggested cost center, GL, and approver chain must reconcile to actual historical and policy patterns.
Level 2 - Explainability
Every recommendation must answer Why? with explicit supporting factors.
Level 3 - Source Traceability
Every number and recommendation must expose source records and systems.
Level 4 - Historical Replay
Replay prior journal scenarios and compare recommendations to actual controller decisions.
Level 5 - Budget Impact Validation
Projected spend, budget impact, and forecast changes must reconcile deterministically.
Level 6 - Similar Entry Validation
All claimed similar entries must be inspectable and materially relevant.
Level 7 - Approval Prediction Testing
Predicted chain and time must reconcile to authority matrices and routing history.
Level 8 - Narrative Validation
Generated narratives require SME scoring for accuracy, completeness, and audit readiness.
Level 9 - Override Testing
Overrides must be allowed, justified, and recorded in the audit trail.
Level 10 - Hallucination Testing
Unknown context must produce insufficient evidence, not fabricated recommendations.
